My Labor Day Weekend

Over labor day weekend, my boyfriend, daughter and I attended a reception which was held in Cashton, Wisconsin on my friends family farm. It was fun, except for the fact that I was sick. There were a lot of animals on the farm; my daughter loved the horse’s, cow's and chickens. Erik, which is the groom, roasted a pig for the reception and his mother made homemade cheesecake and chocolate candy, it was delicious. Everyone was drinking beer, minus the children of course, making toasts, congratulating the newly weds. Fireworks followed lighting up the early night sky in the middle of no where.
On this day, I wish that I did not have a cold, my nose constantly running and my head pounding. Saturday had the chill of a cold fall day when the reception took place. I felt gloomy and not up to beat, not like me at all. At one point I wanted to lay down and rest, I felt as if I had no energy. I ended up leaving early but overall it was great. I had a good time drinking my cold medicine, sucking on cough drops and chatting with old friends. My daughter Diamond was so happy to ride one of the horses and now wants one that she can call her's.
